The head monk, who is the Chairman of Honor of the Mango Tree Garden, is involved in a number of activities of the Mango Tree Garden and is the most important link with the Ang Snuol community. He is also the final decision maker with regard to land issues/(re)construction/activities on the 'Sweet Mango Pagoda' area in Sre Knong Village. The founder of this program, Bowinneth Phem, a female Dutch child psychologist from Cambodian origin, is responsible for setting up the NGO and its program. Her role as founder incorporates all tasks and activities necessary during the setting up period of the program. Currently, the program is supported by 5-6 people living in and around Phnom Penh who are committed as volunteers. Their voluntary contribution to the Mango Tree Garden is based on commitment and interest or affinity to do creative work with children. To ensure stability, in the future a core group of full-time committed staff will be formed. They will receive further training according to their specific talents, skills and knowledge and to the needs of the program.
